Two Halves

The two strands of basic life,
Emotions and Actions,
Easily separated,
causing a disoriented result.
Yet, when they are together,
Life's unity glows like the stars,
Illuminating our universe
With newfound wisdom.

Together they should be forever,
Singing in Harmony throughout our world,
But we know that that can never be,
As for our lives to be so good would cause jealousy.

They'd punish us,
With all of their might,
Yet soon would yield the product of their destruction,
Seeing as there would only be night.
These two beings make up our world,
In others described as yin and yang,
So they split up our universe in two,
And without them,
We would never be able to live again.
